Hey, I’m Anna Maddalena! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. Here you can peruse, and perhaps—by the gods’ graces—benefit in some small way from my all-consuming creative obsession.

And it is all-consuming. Storytelling is the only profession I could ever force myself to give a damn about. I’m a mythopoet, world-builder, and writer; I’ve taken up these trades because I’m not much good for anything else.

I’ve been writing compulsively since third grade, which is also around when I started dreaming up a secondary world for my stories to live in. That world would become Táre, a lifelong creative project that weaves spirituality, anthropology, ecology, linguistics, myth, and consciousness into one expansive constructed world.

My current baby in the oven is The Tower, a magical-realist gothic epic that takes place entirely within the confines of a maiden’s titular tower.
